"Freestyle Stitching on Sweatshirt

Here I am in Cambria wearing the sweatshirt I made. I found this great tutorial on
Alisa Burke's site. She is so talented and comes up with some
amazing tutorials. I decided to try it..

I bought this sweatshirt on the clearance rack at Target. One
of my favorite places :)  Then I had some scraps of material that
I liked and I pinned it on my sweatshirt in random fashion. Then
I sewed it all over crazy like.. Now.. I don't have a darning foot (Need to get that!) So, I just freestyle sewed it best that I
could.. There is no wrong in this.. (I like that!) Doesn't have
to be perfect! (Yeah!)

Then I added a little flower I put together with same material and sewed a pin on the back. Volia! A refashioned sweatshirt with
a New twist!

Thanks to Alisa for the great idea and tutorial! I've seen these at Anthropologie and Yoozers! Whopping prices! I like how mine
turned out :) Now.. my Girl's want me to make them some :)

What a great way to jazz up an otherwise plain sweatshirt. Very cute! I don't sew, crazy or otherwise. Sure wish I would have taken Home Ec all those years ago. Have a great week. :) Tammy

Caleen I've MISSED YOU! What a crazy spring/summer it has been. My father is leaving this earth and it is so hard to say goodbye. I haven't felt like posting or even looking a blogs. So glad, I visited yours today. Thanks for all the magic you displayed. So motivated to go to Target and make a hoodie. Sending you a hug!
