" Family News"!!!

This is "Jenni" being a Nerd today for school.. It is "Homecoming Week" at the High School so, they have a theme to dress up every day.. Yesterday it was "Tall Tee shirts" Today, "Nerds" tomorrow "The Awful 80's"... She is a Junior at High School.
I don't think she looks like a nerd at all... maybe a smart "Reese Witherspoon?"..
Oh, to be Young again... ok, like NO!!! I am happy just where I'm at... But, it was a lot of fun!!!

Ryan '13' just being "silly"... (What do you expect from a teenager?)

Sometimes I wonder if my four Girls will know the "Basics" to help them in their lives. Since Homemaking is not taught in the Schools anymore I worried that they wouldn't care about the Basic Homemaking Skills that would help them as they grow up and go out on their own and eventually be Wives and Mothers. I have to say that I have tried at times to teach them some basic skills. But, as we all know sometimes it
is not the same having "Mother" teach them. I am sure I wasn't as patient as I should have been. Well, This "Apron" is what my Daughter, Stacey '18' made for her Cousin and Friend, Jordan.. I guided her a little but, she basically did it all herself. I was very impressed and very proud of her. I guess without pushing or prodding or controlling they eventually want to "know" the BASICS!! I am PROUD of you Stacey!!!

Kenny my 5th Grader is the Middle kid wearing the Abercrombie shirt in this picture. I am sorry it is not a
good picture.. I had the wrong lens on.. oops!! Kenny received "Sparthian" of the Month in his class.. It is quite an honor.. I am proud of you Kenny !!! He also is the Lead in his Elementary School Play.. "Oliver Twist".. He is "Oliver".. Good Job!
He also won in their Elections as "Grounds Commissioner" so, he gets to take care of the school and ways to improve the look and Trash clean-up.. "Way to go"!!

What a fun update on the kids.

Not a nerd. If so, I want to look like that kind of cutie nerd. Darling.

Love the phone. Bananas are a lot cheaper and safer for that age. Cause they can be a little like monkeys at 13.

And that apron. Darling. Great job.

And nothing like going to a 5th grader production. Way to go on that award Kenny. You are good.

Nothing but a proud time for you Momma Caleen :)

Great apron and no your dd looks too cute for a nerd! My dd had a great sewing design class in 9th grade. She actually taught me some tips and I've been sewing for over 30 years!

Jenny is too cute to look like a nerd. Morgan called me for advice on the 80's thing yesterday and I must say, she took it and actually looked pretty cute. I hate the 80's dress but love the music! Anyway, great update on the kids. I love Jenny's apron, I have been wanting a cute apron, something old fashioned with some lace! Ha ha. Congrats Kenny!
