Today I am going to get a MAMMOGRAM.. I went to the Dr. a week ago and she is
concerned about a lump in my Right Breast.. She didn't want to put it off because
I have a Family History of Breast Cancer..
My Mother, Ramona, was diagnosis with Breast Cancer when she was about 45.. She died at age 61.. She had to undergo Radiation and Chemotherapy.. She never lost her hair.
She was amazing how she dealt with it.. She never complained or was sad about her lot in life. She worked full-time and lived a happy, fullfilling life.. Yet, sadly,
it took her life.. She died June 9, 1991.
I have had 4 lumps removed that were noncancerous.. I do have "Fibroadenomas" which
are just annoying, but not cancerous.. My sister has to "watch" and be aware too.
She also has had lumps removed or aspirated.
I am not scared.. I do not live in fear!! I have a will to live and I know with my Mother's example I can get through anything! Yes, it took her life.. That MEAN
OLD CANCER.. but, she still lived life happily and it didn't get her down.. We miss her and Love her..

Amen to that, Caleen. You're in my thoughts and prayers.
I think that is always a great reminder. My sister had it and I should be more aware too. I struggle more than you with it. I saw it as a hardship instead of a battle and fight. I should change my attitude. Thanks for the inspiration.
