"Creativity Goals for 2012" !

Well- It is 2012' already! How the years seem to fly! That just means that I am getting older too.. Darn! Not really, it's all good.

With the Start of a New year.. I have some
"Creative Goals" I want to work on.. Among some other goals I have a desire to do too..

1. Learn to Solder Jewelry!

This has been something I have wanted to do for sometime. I am not going to be afraid to complete this :)

2. Draw!

I use to draw years ago when my kids were little. I just haven't picked up a sketch pad and done this for some
time.. I really enjoyed it when I did.

3. Paint on Canvas!

My Daughter Brooke, is an amazing painter.. she paints with such ease.. She adds some fun techniques to her paintings and different mediums.. I would like to learn to paint.

4. Sew!

I love sewing... My machine is busted right now.. I am at
a loss without it.. I would like to improve my sewing skills and maybe help my daughters learn...

5. Take a class!

I don't really care what it is.. I just love learning.. It would be fun to take a class that I am a little fearful of taking.. That would be growth for me :)
Well- I am excited to get going! The possibilities are Endless!
Now.. Time for me to get busy!

These are pre-made Canvas Bags purchased at the local

craft store. I just sewed a design on them.

I asked my Daughter what she thought would be

a fun design to make. This is what we came up with

so far.

It's all fun... A sewing machine, thread, material and little embellishments.

Cheese Cloth Ghost with Scary Spiders. Love this pattern. Had a lot of fun staining, dyeing and sewing up this cute ghost. Thanks to the talented designer who made up this pattern. "Tennessee Ridge Primitives" It stands on an old sewing Bobbin. It was a hit. I made only one... It was a little more work than I wanted to do.. Thanks to my sweet friend, Sarcie for taking my Cute ghost home.. :)

Colorful Pumpkins I made soooo Many of these.. They are made out of
Crushed panne. They are of every shapes and sizes.

Three Tiered Pumpkin with a Crow. Painted Orange and dyed with
a colorful Stain to make it a little grungy.

Well, it's that fun time of the year! When I can go crazy and decorate the house with ghoulish and scary and creepy things.
Alot has gone on in our house lately.. Too much to tell. I am
trying to start blogging again. I am sooo sorry I haven't been a
good blogger.. :(
I just had a Fall/Autumn Boo-tique! I will post pictures later. It was
a fun event. Thank you to all my Friends that came and supported me. You are great!

Mother though. I love my Kids, they are everything to me.

My son, Ryan, has been singing since he was able to make sounds.

He has been singing at School functions, been in Musicals, sang
around in opportunities in the Valley,

and singing at church. He recently has been having

some exciting Singing adventures. I am very proud

of him. He is a sweet son and loving and a honorable

Young Man.. I Know God has a plan for him.
I know he can touch lives through his singing.

Welcome Party Goers!

This is a Canvas that I used the backside. I decoupaged

Pattern tissue on it first then I painted the inside a teal

color. It is a 11x7 Canvas.

This is a Metal buckle I found a few years ago in a antique shop

for a steal.

Clip Art Birds add dimension.

Butterflies in Flight.

Prettier in Person.

Then I glued white lace to the inside to give it a textured feel to it.

Then I built it up with all sorts of fun bird like things.

Butterflies with glitter, flowers, branches, pinecones, birds nest,

moss, eggs, fibers, dried roses,

Lace and trim on the edges.

"A Fairy House"

Made this for my Sister's Birthday!

"Fairy Day"... is coming in June and I thought I would get started on some

fun whimsical fairy Projects.

In cambria, Ca there is a Fairy Festival

coming up. Not sure of the Date....

This was made with a wood Base House then with a balsa

wood cut out in the shape of a rectangle.

I cut out a door shape from the Balsa wood.

Decorated the house shape with fun scrapbook

papers from Graphic 45.

Then I hot glued pine cones on the sides of the

House.

I hot glued Moss to the top of the Hosue.

Then hot glued shells underneath the moss

and sprinkled glitter on them. Then I went

crazy decorating the rest.

Rocks, twigs, shells, flowers, mushrooms, fairy clip

butterflies, ribbons, birds, buttons.. old watch parts.

Ta Da.. Finished

Family Name Banner Tutorial!

Tutorial for Family Name and Date Banner:

1. I used a Canvas Drop Cloth that you find at Lowe's for about $10.00.

2. Size of Banner- 13x17- smallest part 12" at V- Mark

3. Print font and cut out.

4. Cut out font and Year out of Freezer Paper. Make sure and save all insides of font.

5. Iron Freezer Paper onto Banner. Iron all edges so paint doesn't seep through.

6. Paint over freezer Paper. Reposition insides of Letters and Numbers.

7. Let Paint completely Dry then Peel off Freezer Paper.

8. With warm Iron, Iron over Name and Year. To set the Paint.

9. Ruffle a 2 " strip of canvas cloth and measure width of Banner. add a little extra for

ruffles. Sew onto Banner.

10. Make a 2" wide ruffle for top of Banner. Sew on Cute little Satin ruffle over canvas Ruffle.

11. Make strips of material and roll into a Flower shape. Sew or Hot glue onto Banner.

12. Cut a 12" length by 2" width of Canvas. Fold over in half and top stitch. This will make a strap for Hanging.

13, Project Completed.. Yeah!!

What's in your Tins?

Yes, I collect tins of all kinds and shapes.

I especially love anything French. Almost

all my Tins have some little Treasure in

them.. Take a Look!

Old glass bottle tops and old clothespins

Love this tin and the color and images on it.

This has old key locks and old hinges and door knobs and old keys

and old watch. face.

Collecting Tins is fun. Treasures inside make

it even more exciting. I really love to go to

Yard sales and find fun treasures. It is always

a mystery as to what someone who had these

treasures were like and what there

life was like. After all, Another "Person's Junk

is Another Women's Treasure"!

Hi There!

I am back from my One day Trip to Cambria, Ca.

Our First Stop:

Cambria Cemetary

It is nestled in the Mts. amongst the beautiful

evergreen trees. It is peaceful with

a calm reverence there.

I suppose there are no rules in how to

decorate the graves. There are

chairs set out, fairies everywhere, statues

angels, wind chimes,

even "Pink Flamingos"!

Take

look!

There are some grand statues and yet there are some old wood tombstones

with No Name of the deceased.

How sad that these children all died possibly due to some sickness.

Well.. I am back from a Wonderful day spent

in Beautiful Cambria, Ca.. We left at

6:30 am. Me and my two Friends, Robin the pilot

and Diane the co-pilot LOL!

It was a Glorious, Sunny Day! Couldn't have

been more Perfect! We had a lot

of fun! Laughing, exploring, Eating

yummy food, and just enjoying

the peace and beauty there in

Cambria..

One funny thing:

stop laughing about that one!

Yep.. Tomorrow early My Friends and I are headed to

one of our Favorite places.. Cambria, Ca.. The

beautiful little town in the Mountains and by the Ocean.

The best of both Worlds.. It is a 2 1/2 hours away

and the drive is nice too. I am so excited to

get a way and have a little break and

to be with Friends and smell the Ocean

and see "Spring" happening in Beautiful

Cambria.. I will report on

Wednesday.. :)

It is also a enchanting place for

Fairies.. LOL!

"Paris in the Spring" made for my Daughter, Lauren...

The pictures above were taken when we went to Europe 2005'. I went on a Euro-Trip with my Daughters,
Lauren and Stacey.. It was an amazing Trip.. We toured, parts of Italy, Paris, France and London, England.
It was not only special to be with my two Daughters, but, it opened up my Eyes and made me Love so much
about our World.. "Paris is really beautiful in the Spring "! I hope someday I can visit there again. :)
For now, I am enjoying the Beauties in my part of the World and so loving the beginning of Spring!

Mr. & Mrs. Pillows !

Don't you just Love these??? I was given some extra BIG pillows from a
Friend that she no longer needed and were in excellent condition. So, I decided to Make them into something fun for our Bedroom.

I have seen these pillows at Urban and elsewhere and made my own take on them. Maybe not
Original, but this is my own adaption of what I have seen.

HOW TO DO: I used Freezer paper to make a letter stencil and cut the lips and Moustache out of the Freezer paper too. Then Ironed onto the Canvas Material
(Which is a "Painter's Drop Cloth" ) Then I used a paintbrush and painted the cut out part of the stencil. Then, let it dry thoroughly. After it dried pulled off the
Freezer paper and Heat set it with a warm iron.

Then, I went to the sewing machine and made it a pocket pillow. So, when they need to be washed you just slip the pillow out.. :) So Easy!

I made a "Ruffle" for the MRS. and added one of my flower clips for a "Feminine
look. :)

Now.. Do you think you can tell which side of the bed the Mr. sleeps on ???
Maybe I should shake things up a bit and mix them up?? LOL!!

My Hubby actually has a moustache too.. :)

"Playtime with Parker"

This is my Grandson, Parker.. He came to spend the night with us. He always brings his Trains.
He Loves Trains! He will literally play with them for hours. I love to watch him and get
down on the ground and play with him. Parker is a joy! He is loving and kind and full of heart.
I Love being with him! He centers and grounds me. He reminds me what is really important.

I Love playtime with Parker.. Hope you enjoy the People or Children in your life that bring you added joy!

Meet my New Red China Cabinet! I just Love it! My Sweet Friend Robin is moving and gave this to me.. She is such a generous and giving Friend! She gifted it to me and said "Happy Birthday!" So amazing that she is! I already took stuff off the wall in my Kitchen to make room for it.
I just love the "POP" of Red! I am going to put some glass shelves in it and fill it up with pretty dishes and glass wear and all my French Trinkets! Don't you just love it ???
I am very grateful and Wish my Friend, Robin... "God Bless" and "Wishes" for

Recap December 2010'

Well, it is a New Year ! Things have been so busy that I failed to mention a few things that

happened last month that were exciting.. So... here are some pictures to sum up the events that happened in December 2010'..

My 2nd Daughter, Lauren is expecting so, in December we had a Baby Shower for her.

It is her first baby and we are so excited. We had the Baby shower at our Friend, Shelly's Home.

Our theme was "Woodland Creatures" .. or.. something like that.. We or I , sadly
didn't take before pictures.. So, you can't really get the idea.. I made a Fabric Banner of mushroom material, and Woodland animals.. It said "WELCOME BABY"! I also made Fabric Mushrooms and owls and fox... Daughter, Brooke put it all together that morning and decorated beautifully.. There were pots with birds and moss and Deers and snow and Trees.. Lauren

loved it! It came together so nicely.. We served Soup and Bread bowls, Salad, veggies, Crackers and Cheese etc.. and had Pumpkin Pie and Pecan Pie for Dessert.. (Lauren's request!) Everyone was so sweet and generous and she received lovely things for her baby.

Next.. I sewed and made things all the month of December.. I was in "Crafty Heaven"!
What a better way to show my love than with Handmade Items..

Wool Sweater Scarves and Wool Head Wraps made for a Friend. A Foofy Cuff Bracelet made
for a Special Friend too.. I made other items which I didn't take a picture of.. Aprons, purses, Journals,Fleece scarves for my Friends and Girls, Pajamas and Blanket for my Grandson Parker.. It was a fun time!

Now it is January, 2011'... I had a Wonderful Birthday! Even after getting over the Shock of turning 50! My Family was so good to me.. My Hubby made a lovely dinner for me and my kids all spoiled me with Awesome gifts. (New sewing machine, Purse,wallet, boots, necklace, work out shoes, work out outfit!) My Friend Ellen put together a party for my Friends at "Macaroni Grill" and all 14 of my special friends were there to Celebrate my Birthday! (gifting me again!) My other special friends texted me and gave me Well wishes.. All in all .. it was Fabulous!

Lauren is Due any Day.. So Exciting! more exciting News
ahead! Stay tuned.. I haven't forgotten about the Giveaway that I wanted to have.. After turning 50! ... I think a Giveaway... is what we need.. So stay tuned!

Well, today is my 50th Birthday! I have
been wearing black all day.. Mourning :( the loss of being
in my forties!! How did I get this old???? I guess- One day at a Time! I have had some wise cracks all day about getting a discount at Denny's!! WHAT??? All I can say is "Watch out
World!" This old lady is Living Life Full! I am
going to embrace it as soon as I get over Mourning :( Maybe tomorrow, I will be Smiling :)

This is a "Busy Time" of Year !!!! I just finished the Boutique which was

the first week of December.. Was so much fun!! Then I am in charge of a craft for
the Holiday Play "Winnie the Pooh and Friends"! My Son
Kenny is POOH! I do the craft time before every show.. It has been
lots of work.. Then last weekend was my Daughter, Lauren's" Baby Shower".( I will post that later..) The play ends this weekend and so does
my stint as "Craft Coordinator".. Thank Heaven! I am enjoying the Season
and trying to Remember the "Reason for the Season".. I hope you are
enjoying this time of Giving and Sharing!

Christmas Boutique!

Last Saturday, Dec. 4, I had a "Christmas Boutique"

at my House.. It went from 11:00-3:00 pm.

I have never done a Boutique.. It was so fun! My Best Bud,

Kim and I gathered our creative projects and set

up my Home and opened it up to our Friends and

Family. I just have to say I had "No Expectations!"

We were busy the entire time. I sold most of the stuff I

made. I am so grateful to my Friends and Family for

supporting me and coming to my Home.

I had a "Blast"!!

So.. the Sewing Fairies are going to be busy Working
this week while the kiddos are out of school for Thanksgiving Vacation.. Hoping to get lots done.. Having a Boutique at My house on Dec. 4th at 11:00 am. Should be lots of fun! So.. I am hoping the Fairies show up Tonight.. Ready to Work tomorrow!

Not much posting for a while.. So busy till Christmas.. Son, Kenny is in the Holiday Play.. "Winnie the Pooh", Dec. 10.. I am helping with the crafts for the kids every show night. Daughter, Lauren is having a baby due around, Jan. 8.. So exciting. We are having a baby shower on Dec. 11. for her. Our son-in-Law, Matt (Lauren's Husband) is getting baptized this Saturday..

The Finished Cuff Bracelet I made for my Friend, Kim..

Voila! The Finished Cuff Bracelet! It was so fun to make. I sewed lots
of Yummy Lace on a base and then added lots of embellishments. I handsewed
beads and pearls and sequins... I know that Kim has already worn
it and loves it.. I have another cuff to show you but, I have
to send it to my Friend Priscilla first... Well, gotta get sewing..
lots of projects to make.. I was at the Fabric Store last night to
get thread, and I couldn't believe how busy it was.. So many
Women buying Fleece for Blankets.. Guess it is that
Time of year.. It has been Chilly lately :)

Repurposed Sweater

Just a simple V-neck Sweater I have had for a while and wanted to Pretty it up a bit.

I added pearls and beads.

The Finished Sweater.. Wish I would have taken a before picture of the sweater. It was just a plain old V neck Sweater.

I get bored of things easily. I say.. "When you can't go shopping".. Never Fear! Do with
what you have"!.. So, I did just that.. I took a plain old V-Neck sweater (that I probably got
at a yard sale or thrift shop) and I had some white material that was edged in Seam binding.
I believe it was the cut-off bottom of a hem or something.. I thought I could re-Use this!
I sewed the strips down the middle and gathered it first... Then I sewed it to the sweater.. It
was a Ruffled look at first.. I kind of liked that too ! Then, I decided to top it Off with someFlowers! I gathered the strips first then shaped into a flower.. I made 5 Rosette
Flowers on each side of the V-neck.. I added Pearl centers and some beads too..
This Sweater went from Plain to Fabulous!! It is so Possible to Re-Use and be Happy! Have a Lovely Weekend!

Who would have thought that through blogging I would meet some wonderful

people??

I did!

A few years ago I was partnered up in "Halloween Swap" with Priscilla.

Her blog was "Casa Bella Chic".. We swapped with each other fun

gifts and we became instant friends. We started emailing and coresponding

through our blogs.. We also have sent each other fun finds and gifts to

each other.. We have a lot of the same interests. Priscilla is easy to talk to and is kind and understanding and when I was going through a rough time she was a True friend to me! I finally had the opportunity

to go visit Priscilla and her Family a few weeks ago!

I drove 5 HOURS TO GO SEE Priscilla.. I was so Excited!

I of course had the blessing of my Hubby who wanted me to finally meet after

years of friendshipping through texting, emails etc.. I stayed in a nearby

Hotel (which was very nice ) (Thank you Hubby!)

We finally met at a Walmart (Funny) and I met her Hubby and Priscilla!

She is as wonderful and sweet as I thought! We ate by the Beach out

on the Pier at "Rubys".. We laughed and talked and really had

a fun time.. They are both beautiful Brazilians and have 2 amazing little

boys, Christian and Carter. On Saturday we met up at the famous

"Urban Barn" in Escondido.. All I can say about the "Barn" is... WOW!

Her Mother came to meet me too.. We had lunch at the "Cheescake Factory" and

chatted for hours and had a nice time.. Later that evening

I went to their home to finally meet their 2 sweet boys.. They

were sooo Adorable.. The oldest, Christian was so fun to talk to. Carter is a Doll too. They had a lovely Home and I felt very Welcomed! They

are a lovely Family.. I feel so blessed that we have become Friends-

and all through Blogging! What a fun adventure it has been!!

Now.. Go Meet Priscilla.. She is Amazing! She has a wonderful

website for Children : Fun finds, Fashion, Design and Decor.. It is.. littlemissheirlooms.blogspot.com

She also has an online Baby Magazine too! BabiekinsMagazine..

Cuff Swap Reveal !

Sorry for the blurred photos.. I didn't realize I had the wrong setting on

my Camera.. So Sad! Just a lousy photographer..

Just a little bag I stamped and glittered and filled with fun things for

my partner, Valerie

I made this cuff with a "Marie Antoinette" Feel.. So pink

and Feminine and Frilly..

Again... Sorry for the lousy pictures.. I really enjoyed this

swap and really pushed myself creatively.. The cuff was made

by sandwiching 2 muslin pieces together and I put soft

batting inside.

Then I sewed lots of different laces on top.

Added a "Marie" fabric piece in the

middle and put "Bling" Ribbons, appliqued Flowers

more lace and a ribbon closure and bling button..

I hope Valerie will feel transported to another

Time... when she wears it :)

Burlap/ "Fair-Fall" Wreath

I call this a "Fair/Fall" Wreath.

The fair is coming soon.. This is my

rendition of a Fall/Fair wreath.

Here are the instructions if you are

interested:

Supplies:

Foam Wreath (Dollar Store)

Burlap

Old pair of Jeans

Quilt Batting

Lace

Buttons or jewels

Old Quilt

Muslin

Hot Glue Gun

Needle and Thread.

Directions: Cut strips of batting and wrap around wreath ,

hot glue in place. Next, cut strips of burlap and wrap around

wreath till no batting is showing. Hot glue to secure.

Take an old pair of jeans and cut 3" strip from the legs of the jeans. sew down the middle of the 3" strip and gather it. pull threads till gathered enough. Then, hot glue jean ruffle in middle of the wreath.Cut different shapes of flowers out of quilted material and muslin. Use thread to secure about 4-5 flowers together. I made a template for a 4" flower shape and a 3" flower shape. Sew all together with a button.(It went, 3 " quilted flower, 3 " muslin Flower, 4" Muslin Flower, 4" quilted flower).(or whatever you'd like) Use a 6 " piece of lace and use a needle and thread and gather the lace and tie to secure.. (so it looks like a flower) put a button in the middle. Hot glue all the quilted flowers and lace flowers to wreath as desired. Make a bow out of burlap and add extra lace to the bow for fun. Put the lace flower in the middle .Cut a 3 " strip of burlap to use to hold the wreath to secure to the door. (or where ever you like)

Next.. I used Glimmer Mist "Sand" and sprayed it all over

the wreath to add a Vintage/Old look to the wreath.

"Rosette Swap" -- Gifts to Shelly

It is a canvas bag that I sewed lots of lace and just

added some fun rosettes with jewels in the middle.

This is the Rosette Necklace I made for her.

This is a little "Goodie Bag" that I sewed and stenciled a

crown and put glitter and used glimmer mist on the the bag.

The roseette is made out of an old vintage scarf. Added seam binding

and ribbons.. Inside were some fun things.

This is the "Loot" that was inside the bag.. Just a some things for paper art,

bling, jewels, for projects.

This Rosette was made out of some old material and

I cut out petals and added velvet leaves and lace ribbons

and stamped muslin.. I sprayed it with glimmer mist for an

"Antique" Look.

This Rosette was made with Flowers and lace and I added a Purple Featherr

velvet ribbons and lace..

This Rosette was made out of an OLD QUILT.. I cut it up and added

muslin petals too and sprayed with Glimmer Mist.. A pearl in the

center..

I made this Elastic Scarf which is a pale mint green and added white

Rosettes and pearl centers

Oh, Another picture of the purse I made.. (Out of order!)

This is just to show that you can take an "Ordinary" Box a "File Box"

and change it up a bit.. I added Vintage wallpaper and Green velvet

Ribbons.. A satin "Rosette" and button.. Lace and I pleated the Velvet

Ribbon down the Middle..

Well, I really loved making these gifts for the "Rosette Swap".. Shelly was so

kind and I think she is happy with what I sent her..
That makes me "Happy"!

Sewing a Card and a Ruffled Scarf...

A Card I made for Madison for her 18th Birthday. She is our Family Friend! I had an old "Cabbages and Roses Catalog.. The Catolog is made up of seperate thick cardstock/like cards. They advertise each item on a card. I took the card and covered the front with some material then I sewed on the edges and added an old vintage card and some other scrapbook papers.. I sewed it on and added flower and bow and ribbon.. I call it "An Artful Card"! I sewed another card with a cool picture on the back so to hide my sewing stitches.. I can't see buying a card at the store.. So, with no money spent and 15 min. of time.. "No Explanation needed"

I made an Elastic Ruffled Black Scarf for Maddy... I really love making these.. So Easy~Peasy!

    Sometimes we need a little "Lift" in our day. A Random act of Kindness.
    I know I appreciate it when a Friend unexpectedly does something for me.
    It doesn't have to be much to make me smile. Sometimes life can be challenging
    and it helps when we are in "Tune" to another needs.

    I made this for a friend, "Just Because". I also felt prompted that maybe things
    are a little rough right now.. It is a quilted, wall hanging. I sewed on an old card on
    it and added lace, beads, flowers, ribbons, and sewed it on Muslin . The card on
    it says "To a Wonderful Mother"! I hope she knows how special she is to me!

I took an old hand mirror and altered a bit by adding lace, seam binding, ribbons, flowers and feathers.. The caption read on the back.. "The eyes are the Windows to the Soul".. My Special Friend, Michelle was having a special birthday.. These are some things I made and gifted to her.. She is very special!This is a fabric sewed, quilted wall hanging.. There is a lot added to it.. But, I won't bore you.. You can see it for yourself.. It was fun making for her.. "Dream" Just for "Michelle"

I made a Scrapbook page for her. Her Hubby asked all her friends to make a scrapbook page for her.. I made a few other things because I think she is very special! On the page, I added a "Betsy Clark" print.. added vintage wallpaper and children's fabric and sewed it on the page. Then I gathered material and sewed it to the page.. Then cut out letteres that said.. "Forever Friends".. I added flowers and ribbons.. You can
see the rest... A Crafty, Scrapbook page... A "Caleen" Only.. Original... LOL!!

"Freestyle Stitching on Sweatshirt

Here I am in Cambria wearing the sweatshirt I made. I found this great tutorial on
Alisa Burke's site. She is so talented and comes up with some
amazing tutorials. I decided to try it..

I bought this sweatshirt on the clearance rack at Target. One
of my favorite places :) Then I had some scraps of material that
I liked and I pinned it on my sweatshirt in random fashion. Then
I sewed it all over crazy like.. Now.. I don't have a darning foot (Need to get that!) So, I just freestyle sewed it best that I
could.. There is no wrong in this.. (I like that!) Doesn't have
to be perfect! (Yeah!)

Then I added a little flower I put together with same material and sewed a pin on the back. Volia! A refashioned sweatshirt with
a New twist!

Thanks to Alisa for the great idea and tutorial! I've seen these at Anthropologie and Yoozers! Whopping prices! I like how mine
turned out :) Now.. my Girl's want me to make them some :)

"A day in Cambria"

                                 My daughter, Lauren and I spent a day visiting one of my favorite
                       Places, Cambria, California. It is on the beautiful Central Coast and has a
                       Mountain with the sea setting. The weather was beautiful and a sunny day
                       It was 58 degrees when we got there and about 68 degrees when we left.
                       We had a great day together just looking in all the shops, eating lunch and
                       we also drove over to Morro Bay and also San Luis Obsipo.. It was a great
                       day and a relaxing one too.. Enjoy the Pictures..

Ruffled Apron out of Vintage Sheets!

A fun, Ruffled apron with rosettes..I made this apron out of vintage sheets. I made a curtain for a Friends Wedding . We decorated it "Anthropologie/like" and this was left over.. So, I sewed ruffles on some light weight canvas and added ties and some rosettes.. I needed this on the night we helped at the wedding.. I would have matched the wedding perfectly.. LOL!

Something cheap, no expense involved and I probably will wear this around the house just to feel fancy and pretty.. :) Have a super weekend....

Ruffled Linen Scarf with small Rosettes...

Hey.. Just wanted to show the "Ruffled Linen Scarf with Small Rosettes" , I made.
I just used white Elastic Thread and I put it in my machine like regular bobbin thread but, wind by hand rather loosely. Then I and used my
regular white thread on top of my machine. I loved how it turned out. I added some small rosettes
with pearl centers..  I think I am in "Ruffle Heaven" :)   Hope you Like!
                                  I am going to the Lovely Beach tomorrow.. Cambria sea in the Mts.
         SHHH.... Don't tell anyone.. :) Just a day trip with my Daughter, Lauren... I will post
Pictures when we get back... Chow Friends :)

This is the first year in this home we have planted a Garden. We have a small backyard but, Hubby utilized every space to put in a Garden. As most of you know, Gardens take work.. Lots of watering, weeding it , picking, watching for bugs, diseases.. The summers are so Hot it is a wonder that anything can grow.. It has been fun reaping from our small little Harvest.
Next Year we may do things different but, we learned a lot and enjoyed what was
Produced.. Tomatoes, Squash, Peppers, Green Peppers, Watermelons, Beans and Hopefully
a PUMPKIN! Happy Summer Harvest :)

"Bathing Beauties" of Long Ago...

This is something I made for a friend. There is a lot of work put into it.. but, I am a lousy photographer
and can't seem to photograph it right. It first started out as muslin square backed by batting and muslin backing. Then I sewed about 5 different squares of material on top. then added lots of stitching and an
overlay of lace.. Then embellished it with beads, glitter, shells, lace, Rosette, millinery flowers.. I got the
picture from the Graphics Fairy. She has great art over there.

Can you believe these Beauties??? So fun.. Look at those stockings and shoes! I kind of like the
lady with the black ruffle outfit.. That is what I would be wearing..
Just too Fun. Kind of wonder what they were up to.. Quite modest and covered..
Times have changed!

Well, All Summer, My three Youngest have been preparing, practicing for the Summer
Plays.. Tonight.... "FAME" STARTS... It should be a wild, fun, Musical Ride..

Summer Flip/Flops

Just something to show today that I made from a tutorial by Alisa Burke. She has a wonderful blog
and is so Creative! I don't think there isn't anything she doesn't know how to do! She is full of inspiration
and Talent. I guess I am an Eclectic Crafter.. I love to try anything. (At least, Once!) I bought the
Flip/flops at Old Navy for $1.00 and used her Tutorial to Spice them up... They are now my Daughter,
Laurens! I have an old Sears Kenmore Machine my Family bought on my 35 birthday. Lets just say
that 'TIME' Flies!! She uses a Darning foot for the Freestyle sewing.. My machine doesn't come with that
so, I just improvised! I believe I can order it on line.. I am really getting into sewing again.. I am just a basic

sewer but, I get along o.k. I think they make Lauren's feet look so CUTE!

This is a braided headband I made with a little

wool rosette and wool leaves with

a little pearl in the center.

I love making Headbands. Love the frayed

edges.. So.. chic.

I love making these roses .. The edges have
been burned. They turn out so pretty.
I made this Denim Bulletin Board
for my Sister, Janine for her Birthday.. I used
lots of Rosettes on it.. Wool Rosettes, Zipper
Rosettes etc..
